 - Till now T20 worldcup has been played for four times. The Inaugural tournament was played on 2007 and was won by India. It was a major win for Indian team after the win of Crick worldcup 1983 against West Indies. After that the tournament has been played in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014. The 2014 T20 worldcup was won by West Indies team. This is their major win after 1979.
- Team India's Performance has deterioted over a period of time. i.e. It won the inaugural title but coul not reach even semifinal stage in the following tournaments. Though they showed little incline of reaching place no.5 in 2012. Immedietly after winning Cricket worldcup 2011.
- On avg, Pakistan has turned out to be the best team on the basis of its superb peformance for five tournaments. Pakistan was finalist in Inaugural t20 worldcup tournament. They had almost won it untill Misbah ul haq threw his wicket in the last over. But they proved their mettle by winning the next t20 worldcup played in 2009. They entered semifinals for next two tournaments. This was their amazing comeback after the super flop show in Cricket worldcup 2007.
- For West Indies, it has been constant growth. They started with 11th place in 2007 but reached semifinals in very next tournament in 2009. They slipped to 7th place in 2010 but won 2012 worldcup with Marvellous performance.
- England won the 2010 cup while securing 6th and 7th place for remaining tournaments.
- Kenya was qualified only for 2007, Netherlands was qualified only for 2009.
- Nepal, UAE and Hongkong have qualified for T20 worldcup 2014 to be played in Bangladesh.
